Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the the second tallest mountain in Africa. Mount Kenya National Park is ideal for wildlife viewing, bird watching or mountain climbing safari. Climbing to 5,199 meters. The scenery surrounding this designated World Heritage Site is breath-taking. It is pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forest, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals, high altitude adapted plains game and unique montane and alpine vegetation. Visitors can enjoy mountain climbing, camping and caving with the mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks providing the perfect backdrop

Itinerary

Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive north along green vegetation of pineapples, coffee and tea to Kenya's highest mountain and the world’s highest equatorial mountain,Mount Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch and check in to your lodge. The lodge is located deep in the rain-forest and has an open air viewing deck that looks down on its own water hole which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo. After lunch and relaxation,have n evening game drive to see wild animals including Elephant and Buffalo, and at night there is a chance you may spot the elusive Bongo Antelope and Leopard.
Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge or similar.

After breakfast you will enjoy a forest walk to learn more about Mount Kenya national park birdlife and other animals in the park. Afterwards check out of the lodge and descend the slopes of Mount Kenya with another game drive as you exit the park. Drive back to Nairobi with lunch enroute to arrive in late the afternoon. You will be dropped off at the airport or Nairobi based hotel.
